During your first year of college, you can work part-time on campus in the United States. After completing your courses, you might also look for sponsorship possibilities. In the United States, foreign students are permitted to work up to 20 hours a week on campus. Many students discover that their time is better spent participating in practical training programs like internships, which enable them to work in relevant fields while earning university credit. There are staff members at almost every institution, including those not in major cities, which are committed to assisting students in finding internships. Additionally, extracurricular programs that give students practical work experience are available at all US campuses. Extending their academic experience through semester- or summer-long study abroad and exchange programs—offered by most universities as well as external study abroad providers—is another option that many students find appealing. Students on an F-1 visa may apply for Optional Practical Experience after graduating.
